For parents helping at home

Maths help, the way school teaches it.

You don't need to remember how to do long division. Koda walks your child through each idea one step at a time, in the words their teacher uses, so maths at home stops being a battle.

Why it works at home

  • Same words as the classroomLessons say regroup, not carry, and follow the methods taught in Australian schools, so you're never undoing what the teacher said.
  • They do the thinkingOn a slip, Koda gives a nudge, not the answer. Your child gets there themselves.
  • Short and playfulA lesson fits into an afternoon. Missions and stars bring them back for more.
  • See how they're goingYour parent page shows what they've played and how it went.

How a lesson works

Every lesson runs in the same four steps, so kids always know what comes next. Lessons can't be skipped. Try it for yourself below and see what happens.

Questions

What age is it for?

We're starting with Year 4, which is almost done, and more years will follow. Each lesson shows its year level, and any child can play any lesson.

Do I need to sit with them?

No. Koda talks them through every step, out loud. Sitting with them is lovely, but not needed.

What does my child need?

An iPad or a computer. Lessons are made for a bigger screen than a phone.

What do you know about my child?

A nickname and a school year. No real names, no school, no photos, and it's all stored on Australian servers.

Private by design

Grown-ups sign up with an email. Kids pick a nickname: no real names, no school, no photos. Everything is stored on Australian servers, never sold, and there are no ads.
